the zone doesn't preserve formatting, so... mmeh. here it goes anyways. You may want to,
but don't call me.
you may feel like it,
but don't call me.

You dial the first, the second, the third digits,
but don't call me.
You punch in the fourth, now the fifth and sixth,
but don't call me.

Your trembling hand reaches for the seventh,
but don't call me.

Instead, drop the phone,
go outside,
look at your life,
and look at yourself,

but, don't call me!

yes. unplugging the phone is better than takign it off the hook. unless it's a cell. then you have to actually turn off the phone

Well, if it's a cell, you could put the volume down on low so you wouldn't hear the ringing. That's what my X used to do to me when he didn't want to talk to me. I personally thought that was very mean!!!

I got a one up. I can check the caller ID, so if someone calls I don't watn to talk to, I just ignore it. mooehehaa

I do that all the time. I always try to screen my calls. Paranoya yeah, but it's better than talking to someone if you can't be asked. lol.
For example, exes who just don't get that I don't wanna talk to them, or people who call, and love to talk about nothing.

Well, hey, if it's a cellphone, why not put the phone on vibrate and at least get a little pleasure out of it?

Get shot of the offensive phone, by selling it in a pub, to someone you cant stand and have wanted to get back at for some time...

<grin> well but most phone numbers here require 10 digits (area code + phone number) so you can allow that person to dial 3 more numbers if he/she choose to do so. I wonder if there is such a thing as intelligent caller ID that can apply different rules to different people e.g. if person x calls after 9 use silent ring tone etc. Cell phones have some of this functionality but it'd be really cool to apply rules to caller IDs just like you would to Outlook.
cheers

sounds like the kind of message I would've liked to leave on my answering machine sometimes, especially when telemarketers use to call, lol.
